What’s the difference between a widget and an embed?

Embeds are pieces of live code that can be placed onto your blog or website. FindTheBest offers several different types of embeds including: Apps, comparisons and detailed listings. Widgets

Widgets are available for most of our Comparison Apps. To embed a live widget onto your blog or website, click the Widget link at the bottom of the App you are interested in and a widget code will be generated to copy and paste into your site.

A few examples of widgets are below:

Embeds

To embed an entire Application or a narrowed search comparing a few listings, click the Embed link at the bottom of the page for a generated embed code that you can copy and paste onto your blog or website. You can adjust the embed height and width, add or remove filters or select an abbreviated version of the App, which will display only the categories preselected by FindTheBest.

Below are examples of the various ways you can use FindTheBest embeds on your blog or website:

1. This Fast Food Nutrition table is an example of an abbreviated embed, showing only the columns preselected by FindTheBest.

2. This Ski Resorts table shows an embed without the displayed filters that normally would show up on the left hand side of the table.

3. This Colleges table is an example of an embed of a full Application.

4. The Golf Courses display below is an example of a detailed listing embed.

5. The Amusement Parks comparison chart below shows how you can embed a specific comparison table.
